Stoanymoth has experience in developing a number of graphical applications and tools. The size of the projects has varied from simple 3D model viewers up to fully featured volume rendering systems and surgical simulators.
Volume Rendering System
Our volume rendering system allows the interactive visualisation of large volumetric datasets. It was primarily designed for use within the medical industry as it has been built with the aid of medical practitioners, however it may be utilised with any compatible three-dimensional data.
Main Features
·
Real-time large dataset visualisation.
·
Multiple rendering functions - data may be visualised as translucent, shaded, solid, per-pixel lit, and more.
·
Accurate volume measurements of specified structures.
·
Simultaneous rendering of multiple datasets for direct comparison.
·
Advanced measurement facilities, including articulated measurement system allowing for calculation of complex structures such as arteries.
·
Arbitrary cutting planes to allow examination of internal data structures.
Neurosurgical Simulator
Allows for the simulation of a subset of the complex procedures involved in neurosurgery, including real-time deformation, pinching and cutting of brain tissue with appropriate haptic feedback and stereoscopic rendering.
Main Features
·
Real-time tissue deformation.
